UX RESCUE TEAM
TIMELINE & PROCESS
During these 6 weeks, the UX Rescue team followed this process to understand the organization's challenge and how to approach & obtain a solution.
THE CHALLENGE
After holding an initial meeting with the stakeholders, we identified that African Youth Voice needed a website to increase their credibility, manage donations & funding more easily, and most importantly, reach a wider audience across Africa with their podcast.
THE APPROACH
We conducted competitive analysis, user flows, mockups, and usability testing.
In our competitive analysis, we reviewed organizations like Radiolab, African Podcast, Blankpaperz, amd Restless Development. This helped us gather clients’ preferred styles and aesthetic sense.
This research better informed best practices in information architecture on these types of websites. We were able to create user flows, wireframes, and eventually build a prototype ready for usability testing.
After completing several moderated usability tests, where we used Notion to synthesize our data.
THE OUTCOME
Upon completing the usability tests, we were able to utilize Wix to launch the site per our design specifications. Through Wix's app store, we integrated a plugin which allowed for AYV to update their podcasts in real time.
